Come and play music in the X Fest!
You can take part in X Games in Barcelona! The best 25 Djs and bands will be able to play at the X Fest central stage
X Games is not only sport and competition and its spectacle proposal also includes music, fashion or art. Music will be present at X Games Barcelona in the X Fest.
The X Fest is the exposition zone of event brands, where all these can interact with the visitors. There will be a stage in which DJs and bands will show their talent in music all along these 4 days. X Games Barcelona wants to offer this stage to local begginer bands so as to be a presentation of the bright hope of Barcelona scene.
Hip hop or indie-rock DJs and bands have the chance to play at X Games Barcelona from March 2013, when the process of application form is open. The act will be also open to begginer musicians with musical styles, esthetic and values that are in keeping with the philosophy of X Games Barcelona. We are looking for talents who really want to improve and make its appearance in a first level stage and people who want to have a unique experience and feel like real rockstars on the central stage of the X Games Barcelona X Fest.
There are only two requirements to be able to participate: candidates must be over 16 and they have to meet the musical styles, hip hop and indie rock. Apart from that, bands could not be more than 4 people in order to guarantee the correct organization of the performances. You can send your application over the Internet or in digital format by linking the website where the DJ or the bands have their musical contents.
Do you want to participate and don’t know how? Prepare an email adress with your basical details: name, surnames, email and telephone as well as your or your band’s artistic name. Let us know you. Introduce yourself and show us your qualities on a stage. We want to see how you move. In case of being a band, each member has to introduce in the candidacy video. Give us a piece of music in which your style and music are clearly seen. That will make you become known in the world. The video unit can not be longer than 1 minut.
- Demo tape/ digital portfolio
We want to listen to you. Send us a link so we can listen to your personal and genuine pieces of music, those you go on about with your friendo and you are really proud of. We need between 3 and 5 of your themes. You can send them by SoundCloud or Mixcloud.
Once the registration form period expires, X Games musical programming team will meet up to select candidates from. The election process will be developed in two ways: the musical programming team will select 20 of these bands whereas the other 5 will be selected by the public in social media X Games Barcelona. So a total of 25 artists will play at the X Fest stage. The next April 8 we will announce the 20 selected artists as well as 10 finalist proposals that will be published in our X Games Facebook page so fans can vote them between April 10 to 22, 2013. The 5 most voted will add the 20 already selected bands on April, 22 to be at the musical poster of the X Games Barcelona X Fest.
