The best riders are cited in Tignes (Part II)
The rider of the moment in the SlopeStyle, Mark McMorris, will try to have his supremacy in Tignes but he should against Toutant, Kontsenburg o Guldemond
As we could see in the last article, the big names of the snowboard will be in the SuperPipe of Winter X Games in Tignes. In the SlopeStyle, where riders have to cover a fall full of crossings and also to circumvent them, find the most amazing tricks and to hang some of the medals that will come into play. And the list of candidates to get the positions of honor, as happens in the SuperPipe, is wide and it is difficult to find a favorite.
Possibly, the best rider for win is the Canadian Mark McMorris who with 20 years he has five medals in the X Games. His last two medals were the silver in the Big Air and the gold in SlopeStyle at Winter X Games in Aspen 2013. McMorris is the best in the SlopeStyle since in 2012, and in 2011, in his debut at X Games, he won the silver. Despite his youth, he can claim to have been the first rider who land a Triple Cork and a Backside Double Cork 1260.
The last rider to win before 'McMorris Era' was a compatriot, Sebastien Toutant, which was imposed in X Games 2011 after completing a perfect manga. Since then, he has always been at the gates to get a place with the bests. His ability with the Triple Cork become one of the favourites.
Another that should be in the fight will be the American Sage Kotsenburg who in 2012 had a big fight against McMorris for the gold. Among his skills, he should be emphasized in his trick star in the Air & Style, the Cab Double Cork 1440, and he is trying to take it to slopestyle. Chas Guldemort is another important name and he knows how to win in Tignes because in 2011 was gold medalist in SlopeStyle and, the following year, became champion of the world of snowboarding. 'Ckuck G', after a summer that he has focused on perfecting his tricks, improved their scores and in the lasts Winter X Games in Aspen he won the fifth position. We completed the list with Eric Willet, silver medal in the Tignes Winter X Games in 2010. The following year, he returned and got the third place but since then, he has not been able to return to republish success. As recently noted, he said that he has full powers and, if he chained his best 1080, he will be very close of the medals.
For the women, Tignes reaches the podium to complete the last Winter X Games in Aspen. Possibly she has an advantage, as far as predictions are concerned, Jamie Anderson is coming to hang the gold medal in Aspen. The U.S. is considered one of the best riders of the moment and her eight medals at Winter X Games is the best example. Another important names like Sarka Pancochova, Spencer O'Brien or Enni Rukajärvi will be in the battle.
