"X Games Barcelona, a dream come true"

The rider opens the doors of his house to X Games Barcelona and confess he will leave "the skin to get a medal in Mecca of the extreme sports"

Everyone knows the name of Edgar Torronteras is closely linked to the world of extreme sports since many years ago. Apart from his great success in the world of Freestyle and Supercross, this rider from Cardedeu lives for extreme sports. His passion for surfing, for example, makes him escape to catch the legendary waves of the French coast of Hossegor as long as his schedule permits. But besides this he also speaks of his love for radio control cars or the fingerboard, which has led him to participate in the most prestigious national championships of these disciplines.

But not everything is sport. ET also has time to spend it in two of his passions: music and image. His skills with the turntables and the DJ set he has at home makes that sometime Cardedeu resounds with the rhythm of the best Hip Hop at the moment. It is also well known he has a gift for Beatbox and has no complex at all in showing it in many of the events where he goes. Nothing to say about his ability to manage the cameras: many of the videos he appears in the network have been scripted and edited by himself.

Anyway, Torronteras opened the doors of his house to X Games Barcelona to explain what means to him going to an event like the one which is held in Barcelona from next May 16. "X Games coming to Barcelona is a dream come true to me. We'll go for the gold medal", said the rider who already knows what competing in X Games is. "It is impressive to attend an event like this because it is Mecca for extreme sports where the best riders go. You get there and you think 'I have to do my best'. And that's what I do, do my best, " points out the Catalan. It is true that his last appearance in Los Angeles was soaked by bad luck. "I went for my medal and couldn’t go further the semifinals due to a fall. I was short of a flip and left the Staples Center in ambulance. I grilled good ribs", jokes the pilot who does not lose the smile in his mouth despite the harshness of the experience. In any case the rider is aware of his ability in the motocross and thus his convintion facing his recent events: X Games Foz de Iguazu and X Games Barcelona. "I came to the U.S. after eight years out of competition in Supercross and I almost won. So why not winning this time?", tells the rider from Cardedeu.

An Edgar Torrorentas who despite marking that his true risk is to excell himself, assumes that "I'm afraid of falling again because I was hurt heavily sometime. What I want is to go on a bike and find the timing when floating with it". When pointing out his models within the motor he keeps three names: Jeremy McGrath, James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto. And he also adds Andreu Lacondeguy because of "his desire to ride and live the extreme sport".

ET shows in each of his words the desire to keep making this sport bigger and growing up with it. And so he remarks it with the opportunity to participate in the X Games saying "I'll leave my skin to get a medal in Mecca of extreme sports". Edgar Torronteras: pure flow.
