X Games arrives to Foz de Iguaçu (I)

The best RallyCross drivers of the moment, as Brian Deegan, Ken Block, Tanner Foust or Travis Pastrana, will fight for the gold in Brazil

In one week Foz de Iguaçu will start the first stage of  the Summer X Games, that will have the second meeting in Barcelona on 16 and 19 May. Until this paradisiacal place in Brazil, the best specialists of BMX, Skateboard, Moto X and RallyCross will fight for the gold medal. Precisely about this last discipline, which it comes with emotion and big level, we will speak today.

The test, which will be the 21st of April during three hours,  will have the best drivers of the moment. With Tanner Foust who in 2010, the year in which started the discipline of RallyCross at X Games, won the gold medal. The following year, meanwhile, the U.S. finished in the second place behind another mythic name: Brian Deegan, who is also on the Brazilian appointment. Despite the fact that Nebraska is not one of the big media icons, he has eight medals in both cars and motorcycles. Apart from the competition, Foust was able to make a loop with his car last year in Los Angeles.

Following more names that will be in Foz de Iguaçu, we opted for arguably one of the greatest legends of extreme sport: Travis Pastrana. This 'outsider' still does not know how to win a medal at X Games in the RallyCross and after the drubbing that he suffered in the latest edition of Los Angeles, where he was taken from the track in the qualifying round with no remaining option to pass to the final, goes to Brazil with the objective to score the first place. With Pastrana will be Ken Block, both pilots confirmed to X Games Barcelona, ​​which seek to improve the silver medal achieved in Los Angeles. Ken Block who has become famous in the network thanks to his famous 'ghymkhana', these videos played over 160 million times.

The European representation, we will have two big names: Liam Doran and Toomas Heikkinen. The first of these, British, he started driving when he was 14 years old, and despite his youth, the Citroen driver is experiencing a great progression in the last years and the experts say that, in the future, he could be a big champion. As far as concerns Heikkinen, with 22 years old is already able to fight the great legends of the sport. Although, he has not get a place on the podium of X Games, the Finnish will go to Brazil to find the honor places.

In the section of local drivers is included the son of the legend of Formula One driver, Nelson Piquet. His son, who has the same name of the father and is known as Nelsinho, will debut in the RallyCross with his supporters. The Brazilian driver competed in Formula One in 2008 and 2009 under the discipline of Renault alongside Fernando Alonso. Currently, however, he is focused in the Nascar where he is making a name.

So yet the appointment of RallyCross in Brazil comes with big names and where it is difficult picking a winner. The small details will make the differences in a discipline where every year the results are adjusted. A RallyCross, as one would expect, will be in the X Games Barcelona in the 19th of May.
