Laia Sanz gets the gold medal at the X Games Foz do Iguaçu

The catalan rider, from Corbera de Llobregat, becomes the first Spanish athlete to hang a gold medal on any X Games, being also her first time participating in this competition

On the first day of competition of the X Games of Foz de Iguaçu, Laia Sanz has been awarded with the gold medal in the Enduro X women discipline. The Spanish rider dominated the race from beginning to end, beating the Puerto Rican, TarahGieger (silver) and the American, RacheGutish (bronze).

This is what LaiaSanz said once finished the completion at Foz do Iguaçu:

“It’s my first time on any X Games and I knew that taking a medal was going to be very difficult. The truth is I didn’t hope to win, so I’m very happy. It’s an incredible sensation. I would love to participate at the X Games Barcelona”.

The X Games are considered the Olympic Games of action sports. We will have the opportunity to enjoy this sporting event in Barcelona, one of the most spectacular that can be seen today. The X Games Barcelona will be from May 16 to May 19.

Tomorrow Saturday at 9.20h in the morning the flaming champion will land at El Prat Airport (Terminal 1).
