The X Games Barcelona medals are presented

Inspired by the modernist floor tile of our city, they relate to the urban sports too

Touching the sky at the X Games has its prize and X Games Barcelona did not want to stay behind in the development of the valued medals that will hang from the top three in each competition. The 42 athletes who climb to the top of the podium will get this trophy which has a very special design for the city of Barcelona, since it is inspired by the Flower floor tile of Barcelona, icon of modernism. In turn, the floor tile relates to urban sports and a pavement where many athletes glide along, as well as a geometric shape that evokes the icon.

The medals, design of Arnau Miquel Amengual and Josep Armengol Fernández from the Amalgama design studio of Barcelona, will be given in a case of cement with a mirror where winners will be reflected when receiving such valued metals. Thus, Barcelona puts its own signature and seal on this first edition of the X Games in Europe and places itself at the height of the magnitude of this event that will make Barcelona be the epicenter of action sports.

In the four disciplines in which medals will be played, the best athletes of the world will have to do their best to get one of these metals and show them to the thousands of spectators who will fill our city in the X Games Barcelona in May 16 to 19.
