Third day of competition in the X Games Barcelona

Today six medals will be given: Skateboard Park Women’s Final, BMX Freestyle Park Final, Street League Skateboarding Final, Moto X Enduro X Men’s and Women’s Final, and Moto X Freestyle Final


The weekend will not be less intense than Thursday’s and Friday’s activity; it will be full of great moments in the modalities that will take place. The first one will be the women's final of Skateboard Park. The big names of female Skateboard will be daring each other in the Olympic Ring Esplanade to delight viewers and trying to win a medal. The leading contender to regain the gold won at Foz is Leticia Bufoni, who already won silver in Los Angeles, but will have to compete with other great skaters such as Elissa Steamer, one of the veterans of this modality and who has 6 X Games medals (four of them gold), Mimi Knoop (three bronze and two silver in X Games) or the very young Allysha Bergado, who will try to sneak between them too. After this final, another one of Park will follow, but this time in the discipline of BMX. Names like Scotty Cranmer, Ryan Nyquist and Pat Casey sealed their name in the history book of the X Games in Los Angeles. Kyle Baldock, gold in the latest edition of Foz, and Sergio Layos, our rider in BMX, are the greatest threats and contenders to win a place in the podium. Full list is as follows:

And in the afternoon the Street League Skateboarding Final will take place. The 8 skaters qualified yesterday are: Paul Rodriguez, Nyjah Huston, Manny Santiago, Torey Pudwill, Luan Oliveira, Sean Malto, Mikey Taylor y Chris Cole. All those will fight for the first position in this competition in Barcelona.

Motor enthusiasts will have the opportunity this afternoon to see their idols fly over the city with spectacular and amazing tricks, since there will be three exciting finals of Moto X: the male and female Enduro X and Freestyle.

Prior to the dispute of the Enduro X finals, the preliminary round for the men will be held. There the best riders will compete for positions to access the final. Full list is as follows:

As for the women's final, Laia Sanz, current defending champion of Brazil in her first participation in an X Games event, is the major threat to the other riders. Other names to highlight in this Enduro X Women Final are the winner of the last edition in Los Angeles in 2012, Maria Forsberg, who is again leading contender and favorite for the gold dispute with Sanz, Tarah Gieger, bronze in Foz, and Louise Forsley, silver in the event in Los Angeles and one of the most talented riders. Finally, the Moto X Freestyle discipline will close this day in Barcelona. Dany Torres, our local rider, will need to fight hard if he wants to get one of the medals at stake. The defending champion and clear contender for the gold , Taka Higashino, and Rod Adelberg and Wes Agee, silver and bronze respectively in the previous edition, will be his main threats. They will all need to bare in mind one of the experts in the Freestyle modality: Nate Adams. The American is an expert and champion in the Freestyle mode: 12 X Games medals (7 of them in Freestyle) endorse him. Full list of riders is as follows:
