The Catalan and the Madrilenian crowned in Barcelona with gold and bronze medal, respectively

On Saturday, we returned to the Olympic Ring Esplanade to witness three finals. Shortly after, the last finals of the day took place in the Olympic Stadium and corresponded to Moto X.

The first Skateboard Park Women's final in all X Games history has been the one that opened this third day of competition. The gold went to Lizzy Armanto, followed by 12-year-old Alana Smith, who was silver, and Julz Lynn who won bronze.

Afterwards, the medals were distributed for the BMX Park final, which has been brilliant until the last second. Gold medal went to Gary Young, getting his first gold at the X Games. Second was Ryan Nyquist, who hung silver, and Scotty Cranmer, third, achieving bronze. Our Spanish rider Sergio Layos ended in a magnificent fourth place in a performance wothy of a final.

After two days of qualifying rounds, the most important moment arrived: the Street League Skateboarding final. It took place at the esplanade where Nyjah Huston hung the gold medal, Paul Rodriguez the silver and Manny Santiago, who has done a really good performance at X Games in Barcelona, the bronze.

Saturday afternoon brought us the male and female Moto X Enduro X finals, both corresponding to the discipline of Moto X. In the Women's Enduro X final, local love Laia Sanz repeated gold with a memorable performance. After being in the last position in the first lap, the Catalan has been moving up positions and overcoming rivals to crown in Barcelona, too as she did in Brazil. “Very happy to win here, at home and in front of so many people”, said Sanz. The other main favorite, Maria Forsberg took silver, while the bronze went to another Spanish rider, Sandra Gomez, who hangs her first medal in her first appearance at X Games. 

The Men's Enduro X final was next, and Mike Brown won gold in a final he dominated from the start. Colton Haaker went after him and got the silver and Cody Webb took the bronze after beating Taddy Blazusiak in the final lap.

First X Games Barcelona event finishes in a really exciting day tomorrow.
