Suspension of Global X Games

The U.S. broadcaster ESPN TV today announced the suspension of the Global X Games 2014 - 2015 to be held in Foz do Iguaçu, Tignes, Barcelona and Munich.

Given the difficulty of obtaining the economic viability of the project globally, ESPN has unilaterally decided not to continue with the events outside of U.S. territory competitions focusing on Aspen and Austin.

Seven Marketing, socio event organizer as the X Games Barcelona regrets the decision of ESPN, the owner. The global economic situation has prevented the sustainability of this project, which in its first edition in Barcelona, attended by more than 115,000 spectators, obtaining an economic return to the city of 55 million euros.
